MOS NIMUBEN VISITS KACHARI RUINS, DURGA MANDIR

DIMAPUR, FEBRUARY 23: Union Minister of State for Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, Government of India, Nimuben Jayantibhai Bambhaniya visited the historic Kachari Ruins and Durga Mandir in Dimapur on Saturday.

During her visit to the Kachari Ruins, the Minister was received by members of the Kachari Rajbari Preservation Committee. The committee briefed her on the historical background and significance of the Dimasa Kachari heritage site, elaborating on the distinctive mushroom-shaped monoliths and stressing the need for sustained preservation and conservation efforts.

Bambhaniya appreciated the initiatives undertaken by the Committee in safeguarding the monument and underscored the importance of protecting cultural heritage for future generations. She also interacted with officials present at the site and expressed admiration for the unique legacy of the Dimasa Kingdom reflected in the ruins.

The Minister later visited Durga Mandir, where she offered prayers to Maa Durga. She extended warm wishes to the devotees and expressed happiness over their devotion and dedication.
