STATE TALENT SEARCH EXAMINATION 2024 RESULTS DECLARED

KOHIMA, Nov 7: The results for the State Talent Search Examination (STSE) 2024, which promotes Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) education, were announced at a dedicated program held at Mount Tabor Retreat Centre, Kohima, on November 6, 2024. PARAKH NCERT, New Delhi, organised the programĀ in collaboration with NBSE.

Prof. G.T. Thong, who attended the event as the special guest, highlighted the STSE’s significance as an integral part of NBSE’s jubilee celebrations. “The State Talent Search Examination is perhaps the most significant program to promote STEM education in Nagaland,” he said, underlining the Board’s commitment to fostering scientific and technical education among students.

Encouraging the students, Prof. Thong explained that STEM education encompasses the theoretical and practical study of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. “STEM is a dynamic approach that engages students through passion and discovery, enabling them to face challenges and develop solutions,” he noted. Prof. Thong emphasized that a strong foundation in STEM will support students in pursuing higher education and careers in these fields.

Results of the State Talent Search Examination 2024 were – Kohima district bagged first position comprising, Mezhur Higher Secondary School, Kohima and Mt. Hermon Higher Secondary School, Kohima,

Mon district bagged second position comprising St. Mary High School, Mon, Christ King High School, Mon, Eklavya Model School Tizit and St. John Higher Secondary School Mon, while Mokokchung district bagged third position comprising Eden Academy Mokokchung, Town Higher Secondary School Mokokchung and Queen Mary Higher Secondary School Mokokchung.

Earlier, Asst. Academic Officer NBSE, Siduniu Rentta chaired the program, Sr. Diana Munis invoked God’s blessings, while Chairperson, NBSE, Asano Sekhose delivered a welcome address. Assistant Secretary General PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry, New Delhi Shalini S Sharma spoke briefly while Jt. Secretary, NBSE, Ekyimo Shitire gave a brief concept note about STEM. (DIPR)
