OFFICE PROCEDURE AND ACCOUNTS TRAINING BEGINS IN LONGLENG

KOHIMA, July 18: Training for office assistants in office procedures and accounting began on July 17, 2023, at VDB Hall Longleng. The training course will end on July 21, 2023. Dr. Alem Longchar, Assistant Director, ATI, provided an overview of the five days of training. He claimed that as government personnel, the participants in Longleng benefited by covering as many topics as they could. All of the trainees were advised by him to interact with the resource people and one another in order to clear up any questions. Andreas Lotha, NSS Under Secretary for Economics and Statistics, Khinyi Woch, Senior Account Officer (Retd), and Hongching Phom, Senior Account Assistant, Sub Treasury Office, Longleng were resource persons.

The following subjects were addressed in the training: (1) The 1968 Nagaland Government Servant Conduct Regulations (2) The Nagaland Services Appeal & Discipline Rules, 1967 (3) General Conditions of Service; (4) Pay and Allowances and Fixation of Pay; (5) File Management; (6) e-Pay Bill and e-NPS; (7) Travelling Allowance Rules; (8) Noting and Drafting Skills; (9) Pension Rules; (10) Forms of Communication; (11) Maintenance of Service Book, APAR, and MACP. (12) The leave rules; (13) The service confirmation; and (14) Promotion and seniority. On day one of the training programme, 54 participants in all were present. (DIPR)
