Manipur situation goes beyond human imagination: Naga Hoho General Secretary

KOHIMA, Jul 4 (NEPS): Naga Hoho General Secretary, K Elu Ndang expressed pain at the loss of human lives due to the clashes between the Meiteis and the Kukis in Manipur.

He said this while speaking as a Guest of Honor at the “One-Day Media Workshop ‘Vartalap’ on “9 Years Seva, Sushasan & Garib Kalyan” held at the Hotel Japfu, Kohima on 4 July 2023. The event was organized by the Government of India, Press Information Bureau (PIB), Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Kohima, Nagaland.

While celebrating the achievements of 9 Years of BJP-led NDA government, the Naga Hoho General Secretary said “How I wish the Government of India came forward to resolve the Meitei-Kuki clashes in Manipur.”

The tragedy started on May 3 and it’s already been two months, but sadly, there was no letup till now, he said. “It has gone beyond human imagination,” he said.

“As a neighbor, I have a responsibility to support and show solidarity so that peace and tranquility is created in Manipur,” he said and appealed to the Naga people and also other Northeastern people to join hands towards finding peace and tranquility in the neighboring State.
