10 BED ICU NURSES INDUCTED AT NHAK

KOHIMA, Jun 30: 40 nurses were inducted to serve at the 10 Bed ICU at NHAK at an official induction program on 30 June 2023 at the NHAK Auditorium with Commissioner & Secretary H&FW Department Y Kikheto Sema, as the Special Guest.

Speaking at the induction ceremony, Commissioner & Secretary H&FW Department expressed his happiness and gratitude to the 10Bed ICU e-Gov for funding the remuneration for the 40 nurses for the initial three years. He further said that the nurses were lucky to be working with the most modern ICU equipment and wished them the best in their endeavors.

Sema highlighted the burning desire of the State Government particularly Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio and Health and Family Welfare Minister P. Paiwang Konyak, to provide affordable and accessible health care to all its citizens. He also mentioned that the 10-bed ICU hubs were one of the best gifts for the people of Nagaland both in terms of quality of equipment and the scope of its service.

The 10 Bed ICU was officially launched by Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio, on the 6th of January 2023 with the objective of helping critical patients in remote and difficult areas to access the service of specialist doctors in the hub hospital through Tele-ICU. (DIPR)
