KISAMA, Dec 1: Among the hundreds of Stalls at the Heritage Village, Kisama, one stall stands out and is making a difference in the lives of many. The Nagaland Police Family Welfare Centre is one special stall that has indeed touched the hearts of one and all.

Set up under the initiative of Nagaland Police, the stall showcases a number of handmade products ranging from hand woven baskets to colorful ladies jewelry and collectible souvenirs made by the jawans themselves from various battalions spread across the State.

The money earned from the sale of the items displayed goes to the Nagaland Police Welfare fund which in turn is used to help the families and children of Nagaland Police personnel in times of need. The Nagaland Police Welfare Fund has made a huge difference in the lives of many by providing financial aid.

The Hornbill Festival is not just a celebration of Naga Culture and Traditions but also about the celebration of Life and the age old values of hospitality and generosity that the Nagas are known for.

The Nagaland Police Welfare Centre has given us the opportunity to not just celebrate the Hornbill Festival but also contribute what little we can to good cause and bring a smile to someone else’s life. The Nagaland Police Welfare Centre is located near the World War II Museum at Heritage Village, Kisama and one can visit the stall and buy any of the items on sale which is going to make a huge difference to someone who is in need of a little love from you, me and everyone at the Hornbill Festival 2018. Be the change.
