KOHIMA, Jul 12: Ministry of Urban Development, Government of India, continues its effort to train on Integrated Capacity Building Framework by conducting a sensitization programme at the Directorate of Urban Development, Kohima, from 4th to 6th July-2018, under the flagship of SUDA (State Urban Development Agency), imparted by RCUES (Regional Centre for Urban and Environment Studies), Hyderabad, sponsored by Ministry of Urban Development, Government of India. S. Takatuba. Aier, Mission Director, NULM, Additional Director UD & Secretary, SUDA, kicked off the three days sensitization programme with a welcome speech. Where five resource persons from RCUES interacted and imparted the knowledge on technical functionaries. The chief guest for the programme was YanpvuthungKikon, Mission Director, PMAY-HFA(U) & Joint Secretary to the Govt. of Nagaland.
On the first day of the sensitization programme i.e. 4th July the resource persons conducted an overview of swatch Bharat Mission on water sanitation and solid waste management, urban challenges/ Governance-key to success, role of technical functionaries-Management Strategies, Appropriate technologies for small and medium cities, reforms in Urban Development, implementation and accountability through E Governance and context of ICBT and support by the MOHUA.
On Day two, an overview of DAY-NULM, social mobilization and institution Development(SM&ID): Improving livelihood, Employment through skill training and placement, Self employment programme, support to street vendors and MIS overview on SEP and EST&P and overview of PMAY Scheme and its components.
On the third day of the programme, it covered on MIS of SEP and EST&P and Training Need Assessment (TNA) and ended with Valedictory Session.
The participants under Directorate of Urban Development- Mission Directors of different Urban Missions, Districts Urban officers i/c of District HQ ULBs, State Mission Managers, City Mission Managers, Community Organisers & other NGO’s and functionaries under DAY-NULM; Municipal Affair, PHED, KMC, responded with great feedback and a vote of thanks was given by RCUES- Hyderabad to State Mission Director, NULM, Directorate of Urban Development.
