Nagaland State Disability Commissioner functions without office since appointment in 2013

KOHIMA, Jul 9 (NEPS): It is shocking to learn that Nagaland State Disability Commissioner, Dr Atha Vizol does not have his office ever since he was appointed five years ago in 2013. He has completed five years as State Disability Commissioner without having an office in the Civil Secretariat.

Talking to reporters here at Hotel Vivor on Monday, the Commissioner said if he was given an office in the Secretariat, he would also be given at least some supporting officers and staffs. “But the Government has not given me an office to function till date,” he said. “I have been running my office from my own residence for more than five years and now completing six years,” he disclosed.

“My tenure as Commissioner for Nagaland State Disability is coming to end soon,” he rued. “It is hoped that the new Government will look into it.”
