ONLINE ALLOCATION & SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT LAUNCHED

DIMAPUR, May 18: Online allocation & supply chain management was launched by Joint Secretary (BP, PD) Department of Food & Public Distribution, GoI, Pramod Kumar Tiwari, IAS at Directorate of Food & Civil Supply, Dimapur on Thursday.

In his address, he said “the age in which we are living, technology has to be used intelligently to address the problem and challenges we are facing” he added that the programme will help the common people and improve transparency in the system.


IT Nodal Officer & State Nodal Officer for e2e computerization, Jungshi S. Jamir, in his technical report, mentioned that through the fund allocated to the state, the department has procured and installed 8 Desk tops with Lease Line net connectivity through NIC Dimapur in the state F&CS Headquarter. Five Desktop each in 11 District F&CS offices. One laptop and one dongle each in the 76 PDC-F&CS offices. One laptop and one Dongle each for the 36 Department-owned godown. One laptop and one jio smart phone each to all the 11 Assistant Directors, one Net book and one jio smart phone each to all the District IT incharge. Therefore he said, the Department is fully equipped with the basic hardware to start the supply chain Automation in the state.

Earlier, the welcome speech was delivered by Commissioner & secretary F& CS Nagaland Nikhashe Sema. Vote of thanks was delivered by Director, F& CS, Nagaland Asangla Imti. The programme was chaired by Additional Director, F& CS, Sentirenla Longkumer.
