Zeliang visited fire victims, donated ₹ 10,20,000 as immediate relief

DIMAPUR, Dec 30 (NEPS): Nagaland Chief Minister TR Zeliang expressed his profound sympathy for the fire victims of Burma Camp Bazaar, Dimapur and termed as “very unfortunate” the fire incident that occurred on Friday razing down several thatched houses.

In a statement issued on Saturday by Azeu Namcyn Hau, Press Secretary to Chief Minister, it said the Chief Minister upon learning the fire incident occurred at Burma Camp Bazaar, Dimapur rushed there to stock of the situation. It further said a total of 102 families lost their homes due to the fire and the Chief Minister donated ₹ 10,20,000.00 as “immediate relief” for the affected families while directing Nagaland State Disaster Management Agency (NSDMA) and District Administration to immediately assess the damage caused due to the fire for further “necessary actions.”

Expressing his sadness over the unfortunate incident, Zeliang also assured the affected all possible measures from the Government and also extended his profound sympathy with them.
