Horticulture Department felicitates Wokha progressive farmers

 WOKHA, Aug 17: In commemoration for the attainment of 25 years (Silver Jubilee) the Department of Horticulture has planned a yearlong programme wherein the District Horticulture Office, Wokha have identified some of the pioneering and progressive farmers under various crops.

An on the occasion of the 71st Independence Day celebration held at local ground Wokha on 15th August 2017, the Chief Guest, Minister for Geology & Mining, Border Affairs, Mmhonlumo on behalf of the department, gave away Certificates of Merit along with presentation of tools & implements in recognition of their contribution towards the Horticuture Sect in particular and for the up-liftment of the farmers of Wokha district in general.


Following are list of awardees, Yanpvuo Erui- Passion fruit, Yipomo Humtsoe- Large Cardamom, Tsathei Humtsoe -Passion fruit, Kizamo Yanthan-banana, Nchumbemo Humtsoe- banana, Chopathung Tsanglao-banana, khodao Erui-pineapple, Anna Kikon-Vegetables, Mhonyamo Murry-pineapple, Dr.Y.Y Kikon-Lemon Grass, humthungo kikon-Orange, Mhathung Jami-Orange, Jacob ovung- orange, Thachamo Humtsoe-Orange & Pineapple, Ezanimo Tsopoe-Pineapple, Woshumo khuvung-Orange, Chenithung Tsanglao-Best Field Staff, Y.Shanchothung Humtsoe-Best Field Staff, Tsenpvuo Kikon- Ministerial staff, Chumbenthung Murry-Best Ministerial Staff.
