KOHIMA, Nov 15 (NEPS): Nagaland Assembly Speaker Chotisuh Sazo has commissioned two “Water Fountains” – one in the Assembly Complex and another at the Legislature Home in a simple function held at Assembly Complex on Tuesday. The one in Assembly Complex is called “Dome Fountain” and the other at Legislature Home “Geyser Fountain.”
Expressing his happiness in commissioning the two “Water Fountains,” the Speaker said the present Assembly stayed in the most beautiful and an ideal place at the outskirt of the State Capital Kohima. Such “Water Fountains” would not only give peaceful environment to the officers and staffs of the Assembly but also those legislators and ex-legislators of the Assembly.
Taking an opportunity in commissioning the “Water Fountains,” Sazo also appealed not only the Officers and Staffs of the Assembly for the upkeep of the complex but also the general public not to loiter and litter away in the areas. “This is your property and maintain cleanliness,” he said.
The Speaker also disclosed that more projects like Indoor Stadium, Paperless Assembly called e-Vidhan, Gym in Legislature Home, Ramp for the senior citizens and differently able persons, Library Hall and Recreational facilities for the Members were in pipeline.
He thanked Commissioner & Secretary of Assembly, N Benjamin Newmai and other officers and staffs for extending their cooperation while constructing the “Water Fountains.” He also thanked Er Aroba and his colleagues for the construction of the two “Water Fountains” in time bound manner in spite of fund constrains.
Newmai, while giving brief speech, stated that the “Water Fountain” projects were the brainchild of Assembly Speaker, Sazo and further disclosed that there were other projects coming up under his initiatives. He also thanked Er Aroba and his team for the timely completion of the projects.
Er Aroba gave brief background of the two “Water Fountains.” Large number of Officers and staffs of the Assembly attended the function.
