Nuklutoshi visits cyclone victims at Changtonya

CHANGTONGYA, May 2: Cyclone occurred on the early morning at around 2 am on 1st May 2016 during which around 100 houses were caused major damages and 200 houses minor damages by the cyclone at Changtongya town. According to the report, there are no loss of life and injuries at Changtongya Yinsen, Akhoya, Unger and Kilongmen village under Changtongya sub-division . Minister for  National Highway, Mechanical and Election, Nuklutoshi, along with DC Mokokchung, SDO Civil Changtongya, DB, NPF President Mokokchung and Arkakong constituency visited the affected places which were caused by the cyclone, and immediate relief fund of Rs 25000 was given to the victim's families to Changtongya Yinsen village and Rs 1 lakh each for Changtongya town Akhoya, Unger and Kilongmen village was given by the Minister.

Meanwhile, The Kohima Ao Officers Telongjem (KAOT) extended relief/assistance of Rs 2 lakh (Rupees two lakh) to the victims of the cyclonic storm that struck Mokokchung and neighbouring districts in the early hours of 1st May 2016 and destroyed hundreds of houses.


The cash relief was extended to the victims of the disaster in various parts of Mokokchung district through the office of the Deputy Commissioner Mokokchung.
