Empanelment of NGOs for implementation of “Nai Roshni”, scheme for leadership development of minority women

KOHIMA, Dec 17: The Ministry of Minority Affairs, Government of India has informed that from the current financial year 2015-2016, proposals from the NGOs/Registered Societies/Trusts etc. under the “Nai Roshni”, the scheme for Leadership Development of Minority Women, have been invited for empanelment through Online Application Management System (OAMS) developed by the Ministry recently, to bring in transparency and ensure accountability. The Advertisement in this regard for inviting Online proposals for 2015-16 has already been published in National/State Dailies on 25.08.2015. The Ministry further stated that the applications/ proposals would be received from NGOs etc. Online only. No Hard Copy would be received by the Ministry. NGOs will register themselves on OAMS and fill the application form. The OAMS has been developed in such a way that it will screen the proposals online on the basis of mandatory criteria through a point based mechanism automatically and check the credentials of NGOs etc. The NGOs who passes through the mandatory criteria online and secures minimum 70% points, will only be in position to complete the form online. The NGOs who does not get 70% points, will automatically be rejected by the system.

Once the NGOs etc. who complete the application as mentioned above will take a Printout of the Application (with an ID automatically generated) and would submit it to the District Administration along with the prescribed Form available on the Home page of OAMS under the “Menu-Forms” for recommendation.

In this regard, the Office of the Deputy Commissioner Kohima Nagaland has requested all the Additional Deputy Commissioners, Sub-Divisional Officers and Extra Assistant Commissioner under Kohima District to implement the scheme under their jurisdiction and submit proposal for further necessary action.
