Governor, CM jointly donate Rs 10 lakh to “Nepal Earthquake Relief Fund”

KOHIMA, Apr 27 (NEPS): On behalf of the Government of Nagaland, Governor PB Acharya and Chief Minister TR Zeliang have stated that they would be sending a sum of Rs 10 lakh towards the “Relief Fund” in Nepal where nearly two thousand people died due to earthquake while rendering thousands homeless.

Informing this to media person at Raj Bhavan on the sideline of the “Swearing-in Ceremony” Monday, the Governor said he and the Chief Minister, on behalf of the Government of Nagaland, had decided to donate Rs 5 lakh each towards the “Relief Fund” in Nepal where nearly two thousand died while rendering thousands homeless. He also appealed to the people to donate towards the “Nepal Earthquake Relief Fund.”
