ENLU lauded fruitful “Tripartite Talk”

KOHIMA, Apr 10: Co-convener, ENLU & Minister, Health & Family Welfare, P. Longon in a press release stated that the Eastern Nagaland Legislature Union (ENLU) has expressed its profound happiness on the fruitful “TRIPARTITE TALK” of State Government of Nagaland with the representatives of Chang and Yimchungru tribes held on April 7 and 8, 2015 at the Office of the Commissioner, Nagaland to find amicable and permanent solution to the Chang-Yimchungru issue.

The two-day Tripartite talk was attended by the Chang leaders led by MP Nokshang, President, Chang Khulei Setshang (CKS), the Yimchungru leaders led by K. Keozhi, President, Yimchungru Tribal Council (YTC) while from the Government side by Sentiyanger Imchen, Commissioner, Nagaland, PF Zeliang, IGP, Nagaland and K.N. Chishi, Secretary, Law & Justice, Nagaland.

The ENLU has from the beginning expressed their full confidence in the leaderships of the Chang and Yimchungru tribes that they would be able to thrash out their differences whatever the issue they might have through dialogues. And today, they have shown to the rest of the Naga brethren that their issues should not become obstacle to the aged old relationship of the members of the Naga family. No issues are there in this world which cannot be resolved and our Chang and Yimchungru brothers have proved today.

The ENLU has also expressed its profound gratitude to the state government for successfully initiating the “Tripartite Talk” and also those NGOs, civil society leaders, church leaders, district administration, police and other agencies and individuals who have immensely contributed towards bringing normalization in the region.

The ENLU appeals to the leaders of CKS, YTC and the state government to adhere to the “five-point resolution” adopted during their two-day Tripartite Talk held, and the ENLU will be always ready to provide their services for the larger interest of the people of the district in particular and the state in general.
