Will BJP fulfill granting of separate “Frontier Nagaland State” which they promised if voted to power.
While jubilation of BJP’s landslide victory still defies dying down, the question arises whether they will now fulfill the separate “Frontier Nagaland State” which they had promised to ENPO when then BJP National President Nitin Gadkari visited Mon and Teunsang on December 14, 2012.
When Gadkari, accompanied by BJP national general secretary and Nagaland in-charge Tapir Gao, zonal general secretary (organization) Northeast Chandrashekar Rao and BJP Nagaland unit president M. Chuba Ao, had visited Mon and Tuensang assured that his party would protect and initiate the issue of statehood demand ‘Frontier Nagaland’ by Eastern Nagaland Peoples’ Organization (ENPO) in the parliament.
The question is: “Will they now fulfill their assurance to ENPO as they are now voted to power?”
Sometimes politics is very interesting as they can go to the extent of promising to build a bridge when there is no river.
