KOHIMA: Polling at Ladeigarh Polling station-1 under 49-Tamlu Assembly constituency in Longleng district was held peacefully today without any untoward incident from any corner. Polling at Ladeigarh was held today as 302 electors of Ladeigarh were prevented by Assam Police to exercise their franchise on 9th April where polling to the lone Nagaland Lok Sabha seat was held all over the state.

Polling was started at 7 a.m. under adequate security cover to enable voter to cast their vote  at a make shift polling station set up as per the directive given by the Election Commission of India. Senior district administrative officers were present to create confidence among the electorate to exercise their franchise without fear and intimation.

A senior district Administrative officer said, 45 to 50 percent of polling was recorded at 12 noon and the total polling percentage was recorded at 59 percent when polling ended at 4 p.m. Polling parties have reached district headquarter Longleng via Tuli and Changtongya.
