Time for 24 MPs of Northeast to Unite

By Oken Jeet Sandham

Of late, many Opinion Polls have been highlighted and webcast on the 16thLok Shaba Elections. These Opinion Polls have been mostly conducted on UP, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Odisha, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, AP, Bihar, WB, Delhi, MP, etc. Interestingly, they have hardly touched the Northeast Region where 24 MPs are there. This is, of course, not the first time. In past elections too, they excluded Northeast Region from their serious Opinion Polls and the worst part was the people of the Northeast were not aware of this.

The Opinion Polls conducted on the current 16th Lok Sabha Elections in the country have not reflected of the Northeast Region. They presume that the Northeast hardly matters to the Indian Elections. But from all accounts, the BJP-led NDA is half-way mark by a highly unpredictable 1, which comes to 273. Where have the 24 MPs from the Northeast Region gone from their so-called Opinion Polls. If we want to bring change in this country, we can do it by uniting the Northeast through our 24 MPs. I vouch for it.
